My wife has been pressuring me to tumble them for years Chuck. She put a "honey do" spell on them. Creating an attitude of resistance within.

Those are great, I especially like the ones you back lit. gorgeous material, I'd be afraid to tumble them and sand down the bumps.

Great pics., like 'em. Those honey-do lists do at times draw a lot of amperage. Thanks to her too, for leaning on the project.

Really cool, it can pay off to do a honey-do list item.

3, 7, and the red ones in the bottom 2 are killers. Seriously you should lock them up (because I might raid them)!

They were tumbled with Penicillin so they would not be contagious.

visual delight. so much to see in each piece. these are just awesome! Found out where the mass flow of silica came from Deb. Not from crystalline quartz. Easily dissolved tiny skeletons of diatoms, radiolarians, sponges etc. Diatoms probably the biggest source of the ocean's silica. And very high grade silica. Add the super thin skeletons, and dissolving process made easier. This coral grew on an older ocean's bedrock composed heavily of diatomaceous matter. That is why there are solid silicifications of this coral 3-4 feet in diameter. Over load of dissolved silica oozing. These bots a product of the ooze. Since they are not a replacement, the bots are very pure and hard silica. kapDiatom skeletons heavily magnified:

diatoms are a treat in themselves, like so many odd assorted snowflakes, very cool. Love the bots, keep doing them!
