Has anyone tried to stack several saw blades on an arbor to make a grinding wheel to rough in cabs ?

The son of a friend of ours has a concrete cutting machine. Lloyd got several blades from him, stacked 6 or 8 on an arbor and used the machine for rough grinding. I don't remember the blade diameter, but Lloyd said it worked very fast, splashed lots of water, and he had to be very watchful to not get fingers near blades.

I've got a stack of 17 7" tile saw blades bolted together & on my arbor. It's about 1.5" thick. It's a rock eater! I was fortunate to get the blades for about $3.50 each shipped. My friends & I bought 50 or 60 together. Lynn

I put one together, works great. (1 poly+1 large hood+ 1 bushing + 9 CDs for spacers +10 blades). Was hard to source the blades at a decent price, lots of internet searches etc. Found the best price at 9", so that's what I bought. I don't think the diameter matters. It eats rock like a champ, and has greatly sped my process. Gotta be careful with chipping as it can be a problem. I followed the construction advice from the HGMS site. Not sure if I need the 3/4 horse motor, seems like overkill. Put a single blade on the other side of the arbor which I haven't used, so I will replace with something else. Can see the dishing from heavy use. Time to rotate the blades.
