If it would have been anywhere but Portland! You headed there?? Thought about it but I don't like SE Portland, plus I don't have room for a 24 inch saw or faceting machine or multiwheel cabbing unit. I bought my 18 inch from the same outfit. Plus one heck of a lot of rock that got me started in this hobby. Don't think I will even tell the wife about this saleA!!!

The 24 is priced at $1800.00, not a totally bad price until you consider getting it out of the basement it's in. Not sure how they got it in to begin with. A FranTom 4 wheel arbor unit that needs a lot of cleaning up for $900.00 Lortone vibe unit for $300.00 10" Star Diamond trim saw for $400.00 Facetor $2k Needless to say they're still there. I found a few Biggs and Deschutes slabs, a belt buckle, and a few tools but most of the stuff was over my budget. They are trying to sell most of the rock in one lot for $1500.00, probably about a ton but it has been highgraded in previous sales and it's in the basement.

For those prices, they probably have something lined up on them. More than I am willing to pay. Glad I stayed home. I passed on a big saw that was in a basement, figured it had to be disassembled to get in in and did not want to get it out.

Yeah I agree that's not a bad price on the 24" saw. I would love to have it. Frantom made great saws! The Lortone vibe unit is priced okay but $900 on the Frantom cabbing machine is way too much IMO. If I were selling a machine like that in it's as-is condition I wouldn't expect to get over $250 for it on a good day. Without a power feed I wouldn't expect to get over $275 on the 10" star saw. And the Prismatic faceting machine is way over priced. It's only worth about $600-$800. Prismatic is out of business but Zane Hoffman who is the son of the guy who used to make the Prismatic machines currently makes the Poly-Metric faceting machines. And for the $2K they're asking for the Prismatic machine someone could nearly buy a brand new similar version, the Poly-Metric Xristal-tek “87” machine from Zane. Those two slag glass lamps in the photo gallery are nice! The second one looks like it may have been made by the Miller Lamp Co..
