Here are some of the results from my first tumble. I learned a good bit over the last few weeks talking to members on the board and reading posts. I got a fresh batch tumbling now using some of the stuff I have gleaned from this site and its members. I am content with my first batch through, its not the best but I am mildly satisfied. My picture taking skills aren't the best so the pictures could probably be better. I am definitely going to be more selective about what moves on from the coarse stage and what needs to stay and tumble for a while longer. I am also going to run a few course batches before I start the next stage. I underestimated the volume loss of the rocks throughout the process. Live and learn I guess. This was a tumble of mixed rocks from the Rock Shed and some Unakite that came from JugglerguyVarious Quartz pieces Unakite from JugglerguyKambaba jasper Moonstone Piece of Tigers Eye Turritella There were other pieces also but I just took some quick pictures to post. Thanks for looking Jake

Nice first batch. I don't think many are completely happy with their first, I wasn't. The quartz looks good which says to me you have a handle on your load formula. It only gets better so keep on rollin' them stones.

No frosting on the quartz and a shine. Two serious accomplishments.
