I'm on the way !! That cool weather looks like heaven. Scenery and pebble beaches better. Looks like your have some major scores. I think that red/orange/yellow rock is going to be off the chart tumbled. Those big lake rocks are rolled to perfection. In that clear water they are asking to be collected. Puzzled that there is a black line of rocks out in the water. Got to be density differences. Thanks for sharing your trip I'm up for a trip if you are. I agree that the line of black rocks is a density thing. Pretty much all the beaches, both the dry part and the wet part, have a line of basalt like that. That picture is not at all uncommon. I wasn't planning to tumble the red/orange/yellow rock. It is so full of holes that I think it would be impossible, even if I didn't go for perfection. It's a mess.

Thanks Rob. You would be ready to run me off in a couple of days. Those rocks would keep any rock lover mesmerized. Takes some serious water action to sort rocks that size by slight density variations. No wonder those rocks are so well rounded.

Beautiful rocks, Rob, but also just beautiful pictures. I need to look for an excuse to get up there (besides rocks, even though that WILL be the primary objective).

Hello Jugglerguy ! sorry to bring out this old topic but I would like to see your stones once polished. Is there another topic where I can see them? Thank you for everything!
