Thanks Don. You think it will be a snipe fest at the end or the Local Pick Up Only gonna limit that? I'm finding a silver lining in his not answering my questions in that if he didn't answer my simple questions that he is probably also not answering those from folks asking about shipping the saw somewhere. Expect a snipe job in the last few seconds. On things I really want, I go in 3 minutes before ending bid & increase my bid to the max I'm willing to pay. That way if a sniper comes in at the last second he has no way of knowing how much your max is. He'll think he's getting a bargain by going say $100.00 more than the bid showing. Andd if the sniper is like me, he enters his bid 5 seconds before close. The local pickup thing will be a factor that will keep all but folks within a few hundred miles out of the bidding.

Thanks for the size guess Tommy. $525 is no where near my final bid! That was just my attempt to keep the seller from ending the auction. - several hundred... *snort*
Don, I snipe at one second! I'll probably go with 3 to 5 seconds here just to pad my time. Hate bidding that early!
ETA: on the electric plug, it's near Orlando, so I reckon it must be 220 to have been used here. Looks like my dryer plug.

Glad you are not closer! What would you bid on it if you were? If it was within driving distance I would have put 1000 on it right away and watched it in the final moments ready to hit it again. And if I was closer I would have backed off if I knew it was you I was bidding against.

Thanks for the size guess Tommy Edumacated guess I think... A 7" opening vice would not look like that... You could practically land a 747 in the length of that vice platform. I'm guessing those pin-stop holes are at least 1" apart - that puts the vice around 15 inches showing Edit: you can actually see 16 holes plus the pin is in the 17th hole - if they were only 1/2 inch apart that would make it over 8" opening which doesn't exist. I think this conclusively proves it's a 24" saw.

hmmmm...
I was kinda hoping for an 18" as I already have a 24". No biggie, that just I have to choose one after I fix this up IF I win it.
That makes this a $9000 saw plus the original freight & crating adds another grand+.
The seller has to be biting his nails on this one.

Oh, and thank you again Tommy for the Sherlock Holmes reasoning on the size! That all makes good sense, just forgot to say something. Multitasking over here to pass the time.

I'm not counting on winning here. Someone that doesn't already have a 24" saw will be far more interested than I am. It's just a project to me.
But, there was no way that I wasn't gonna try to get it for a song though!

If I hadn't raised my bid, I would have won at less than $600
