Pretty stuff! I would not be surprised to find carnelian in Kentucky's sedimentary agate nodules. Also, there is sedimentary chert which is basically the same chemical composition as agate and it comes in carnelian colors too....Mel

I've seen some stuff in the creeks that looked a lot like carnelian in the sunlight. Have to look and see if I have some in my bucket.

Close but no cigar.... To cloudy for a Carnelian,but its a nice piece of agate! Thumbs up.
