This is the time to sign up for round 9. If I have missed any rules then feel free to add them here. I will add them to this post. What is expected: It is expected that you will receive the box, photograph what you took out and what you put in. The images should be posted here. Each member pays the postage to get the box to the next member. We are using a Medium Flat rate Box. If $14 is too much, please do not sign up. It is expected you will take what you deem is some nice stuff. In return, and fairness to other members, we ask you put in what you consider nice. This is not a place to lose your dud rocks. Also, please make sure you leave enough for others. If someone puts a handful of slab stands in, take one or two and leave the rest for others. If there is two slabs of charoite, please take one and leave the other for the next member. If there is a larger rock in the box, cut a slab off and but it back in the box. Don't forget, we are all friends here, and friends share. We learned that about the same time we learned to tie our shoes. You still remember to do that, right? Once you have done your swapping, repack the contents in a new FRB and send in a timely fashion to the next person in the list. So, here is the place to put your hat in the ring. There is a limit of 20 members so hurry!! ****YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS ON THE BOARD AND AT LEAST 50 POSTS!**** Please put your first name and city, state in your post. All right, these are fun! I have a fair bit of higher end goods I can put in the box, either before it goes out from the first person, or I could go fairly early.

I will open this up to a vote. All who want accidentalrockhound in this round, speak up! Sheri I say yes, for what it's worth. He just came into a large haul of rock and gear, I don't believe he's looking for a 'free box of rocks' and may have some nice material to contribute. Seems to be pretty vested in this hobby, even if here for a short time.

For speaking up, and your right not just me but my wife and kids all would be so excited, we are more then pretty vested in our rocks but like lots of folks here we have crossed the line of no return! And where loving every minute of it our whole rock world had been turned upside down with our recent purchase of a rock collection and equipment that has been waiting for us since 1978, and by us I mean the RTH community! You all can trust that the box won't stop here! But only get better! So if any of you old timers or curious members could vote me on it would be an honor to play!!!

Do not wish to scare you off, just practicing for Halloween!! As for guessing the miles, I think I'll sit this one out, give someone else a shot at the prize. (And I don't want to hear it, Walt!). How about I guess a number, and keep it to myself? Nice gesture on your part, this is what the RTH family is all about!

I swear I don't look like my avatar! Please vote or ask any questions? Waiting in Colorado, thanks all that have given me an ok so far, I think you need at least 200 thumbs up. A combination of one thumb and two thumb votes is allowed, so you need somewhere between 100-200 people to vote for you, depending on how many thumbs they want to chop off... err, I mean sacrifice... err, I mean metaphorically stick up in the air for you. I give you a big toe up. My right one, since it's been kind of mangled by dropping too many rocks on it.

He hasn't signed up for it. The rules are never set in stone, and if they were I wouldn't have made the first travelling rock box I participated in. If you want to sign up, just sign up. It's been pretty unanimous, with only one person who doesn't have any skin in the game saying anything negative about you joining.
