November was a weird month for me. I did lots of cutting but much of it was experimental and isn't "ready for prime time." I spent a lot of time updating my website which needs a lot of work after 3 years' neglect due to illness. I've just begun that project with much more to go. Still I produced a few stones during the month and here's a selection -- and thanks for looking: Blue Chalcedony from Malawi, Ovals Malawi Blue Chalcedony Double-Sided Freeform. This will be drilled and used as a pendant but I haven't quite decided on the final treatment. Mookaite Pear Shape Mookaite Earring Pair Ocean Wave Slab. I jokingly call this material "Natural Fordite." It's a layered material from Madagascar that shows different colors as you dome the cab. It's a little tricky to cut because there are lots of tiny openings and other imperfections. I found it interesting that cabs from the same slab turned out so differently. I'm glad to be the first to say these are some beautiful cabs. I absolutely love the blue chalcedony. So simple yet so elegant!

Terrific set! The blue chalcedony seems to glow and the Willows are a favorite also.
Peace,
Rich

That wintery willow is pretty. I've got a handful of blue chalcedony that I've ignored because it's so plain but those cabs are beautiful.
