I have a friend who has this and swears by it, he has fixed a dropped and shattered humidifier and a measuring cup nothing else would glue. He says you can glue anything to anything. I looked at all the videos on his site and you tube and they say its not like super glue. I looked at the MSDS sheet and it says its a Cyanoacrylate which is a super glue. Wikipedia says there are different formulations so this is my guess it a form of super glue. I wonder if the the last filler is just baking soda which works for superglue. My friend said he paid 75 dollars for a small bottle of glue, filler, and cleaner. thelastglue.com/

Interesting stuff. It has some extra chemicals not found in typical crazy glue. The are things i am unfamiliar with.

Hmmm, you add baking sofa to crazy glue? What does it do? It seems to make it stronger, almost a reinforcement. If I mend plastic with CA I sprinkle baking soda on it add some CA on top of it then more baking soda. Look on you tube and there are dozens of videos.

Here is a hack for storing super glue. Thanks, toiv0 I have jar, kitty litter, and glue. Just need to get them together. Going to try the desiccant packets that come with pills et al. I've been saving them for ages.

Not sure how it would help here, maybe seal cracks with a harder glue than CA?

Not sure about the water, I read people who keep aquariums bond coral together with it.

I've just received EPOXY 330. I ordered it for a specific purpose, not just sticking two things together.
I forget what that special purpose is. Sigh!
Anyone have a clue? I got the idea from a fairly recent thread.
Thanks.

If I mend plastic with CA I sprinkle baking soda on it add some CA on top of it then more baking soda. Look on you tube and there are dozens of videos. toiv0 When I bought my UV18 about 6 years ago the first thing I did was put too big of a rock in and it became bound and wore a depression in the inside of the tub. Just made me sick to see that because it took at least half the plastic away at that point. The divot was about 1" X 1/2" X 3/16" deep. With nothing too loose I filled the divot with CA. It worked! Over the years the bottom has become thin so I have put a layer of CA on it also. This tub should have been wore out along time ago with the use it has had but I still use it for polish.
That being said I thought why not put a thicker layer on using baking soda. I put the CA on and put the baking soda on. Big time reaction. Let it sit to dry and when I came back to it I pealed the CA and baking soda off.
The baking soda trick does not work on the UV 18 type of plastic.
Straight CA does a great job and is a cheap way to extend the life of UV 10, 18, and 45lb barrels.
Just my 2 cents..............................................MrP
