NOBODY hates dentists more than I. Horror stories too numerous to detail here, but suffice it to say, I had my last 17 teeth pulled to get dentures so I would never have to see a dentist ever again! Oh and by the way, dentures do not last forever either, but going to a denturist is a whole lot less stress than a dentist ever was.

You're all a bunch of wimps. I've had 3 root canals, 4 crowns done & will be having 2 more crowns done this year - all without novacaine. Never seemed to work anyway, so don't waste the time. Soon my mouth will have a higher value than my bank account lol Good luck spiceman, I think I just have a really good dentist!

Shouldn’t be any pain now. Didn’t he drill a hole to relieve pressure (= pain) and kill the nerve already? Back tooth prolly three roots = a few more dinero for the root canal. Gold crown finishes the job right. Be fun watchin’ some lab guy tryin’ to carve a rock to fit the impression, though. No drilling yet. Had to get the gum healed first. Luckily the sleepless nights have gone somewhere else Gold might be the way to go but a cost saver may be fools gold. HA thanks

Funny thread! (rofl) The pain you are enduring is not funny, but this reminded me of another forum I frequent. There is actually a section titled "Family dentistry forum" and a Dremel tool and JB weld are the preferred recommendations over there, so may work well for you also. (cheers) :D Almost forgot! Generous amounts of alcoholic "pain killer and mouthwash" are frequently prescribed by the helpful souls who offer unending advice. (insane) First...nothing wrong with being honest. Alcohol is a good option will you right me a prescription for that? I'm a T&T guy...TankerA and Tonic. I don't think insurance will pay for that but you never know if you don't try. cheers ( slobber)

Dentist hurt me so bad he put his knee on my chest to hold me still. No, dentists are not high on my list of professional. Have had three of them. All three failed and are now extracted. If I ever need another, no root canal for me. Extraction for sure.

Please don't take offense. I will agree, tooth pain is about the worst I've endured. My dentist is Dr. Schouten in Appleton WI. May be a bit far for you to drive Mr. Spiceman.

Can't numb that.... (Hammer time) Funny thing for me. Had surgery and they put a drainage tube in my head. The neurosurgical doc came in the room and wanted to look at the tube. I said your not pulling that out? He said no All of a sudden his hand clapped my forehead. He pulled the tube out and stapled it using no Novocain. I ask why he said.... I said next time let me decide if I need it or not. I laughed and he smiled.
But tooth work is different. At least for me.
