I'll be in Eagle Pass, TX, tomorrow, and am wondering if anyone knows a location where I can hunt for agates. Thx!

There is an active rock quarry in Eagle pass as that's where my buddy's rock yard gets their material. Best bet is to see if you can pay the a fee to go through their oversized material piles. How common good agates are depends on where they are in the cut. Lately, the rock yard stuff I've been going through has not been super productive but, even then, I usually find a few good stones ( agate, rhyolite, pet wood and fossils) to cut.....Mel
