Have you ever purchased anything from them? I want to buy some faceting disk containers. I haven't found them anywhere else.
Would like some opinions about them, or other places to get the containers.
Thanks.

I haven't ordered because the thing I wanted, which was on the site, was not actually in stock. They got back to my email fast, though. They are East Coast, so I was really hoping to do business with them. If you order, let us know how it goes.

The name is at least a bit ironic.
"The Rock Peddler" doesn't seem to sell any rocks. Therefore I searched other potential forms of peddling and didn't find a bicycle made of rock either.

@shotgunner Scott, brother-in-law used the corn? grinding rock to replace his dead bicycle tire. Very heavy, but worked.

rockjunquie Rock Peddler update --- I ordered the disk containers February 21, 2017. Vendor out of them, so she asked Graves to drop ship them to me. Graves out of town for a funeral, might respond by end of the week. Haven't heard anything. Apparently The Rock Peddler and Graves, and amlap are the only sources for the disk containers. Hope I get them soon. Anyone know anything about amlap.com? I'm concerned because entire name is American Lapidary Wholesalers.

Thanks, Pat. That was the problem I had. They didn't have it even though they had it on their website for sale.
I'm not surprised that the one is a wholesaler. I wouldn't worry.

Sorry I missed this Pat. I never did get my order or hear back from them when I contacted them. I was in a transition period and forgot about the order for a month or more so I got back to them late and it was like they no longer existed. I chalked it up to a $50 lesson and moved on. I should have let the forum know. Jim

rockjunquie wampidytooI just cancelled my order with The Rock Peddler /Graves, and asked for a total refund. I ordered from the only place on the planet that carries them (I hope) amlap.com, for $30 less for two sets. Tom Herbst, the author of the very good book, ordered his from Graves. At this point, Graves does not know if they have them in stock. Not a good way to do business! Wish me luck!

I ordered some Nova points from them recently (2017) and after about a week they showed up in my mailbox, drop shipped from Diamond Pacific. So that's my positive experience with Rock Peddler.

I have to wonder if they are not just a drop shipper. Nothing wrong with that I guess, but I would like to know before I order.
Sorry, Pat, seems like a lot of hoops to jump through.

rockjunquie wampidytooNeither The Rock Peddler nor Graves has the lapcases even though they both list the item on their website. Took from February 21 till today, March 6, to find that out. The Rock Peddler cancelled my order and said I was never charged. Her policy is to not charge until the item is actually mailed. I don't want to do business with either company again. Urk!!! Fingers crossed for amlap.com I just emailed them to find out the status of my order, and if it is stock.

Good luck with that. I just figured I didn't need it that bad. I am pretty good at shifting gears and making wrong hand turns to fake out what my mind thinks I need and my needs go way down when I have trouble getting it. Label me "quitter". haha Jim

It should not take 13 days to find out that what I ordered from their website is not in stock, nor available from their drop ship supplier.
I had ordered February 21 from The Rock Peddler for two sets of the faceting lapcases for a total of $90.00. Not in stock.
Found out her drop shipper was Graves. They have them listed on their website also, for $60.00. Found out today from The Rock Peddler, they are not in stock at Graves.

I truly hope amlap.com has them; they also charge $60 for two sets. Seems odd that The Rock Peddler, a middleman only, charges $15 per set extra. She advertises that they are cheaper for many well-known lapidary brands.
So much for that!

I ordered from them. Ordered a Genie DVD how-to, actually received it quickly but it must have been old because the disk was corrupt. I emailed them with my problem and they said Diamond Pacific was expecting more soon so.... not so great experience but not sure who's at fault. I'm contacting Diamond Pacific tomorrow.

They were a home based business and I saw a post a few months back where someone was trying to get in touch with them with no success and checked the address and the home at their business address listing had been sold. After reading this I tried calling Amlap's phone number and the number is now to a health/nutrition type club. Amlap had been my go-to dealer for the best deals on the net. Hated to see them go.
