melhill1659. Exactly what did you need for your Genie? I have a Genie. gemfeller. That is too pricey. I see on ebay, they have for $5.95. Will investigate in the morning.

It has sections on several different topics and would love to know just what the heck this is too This one looks like it's been on a shelf since the day it was made 😂

CABREST is a handy gadget for making the 12.5 degree angle on the cab perimeter for a bezel.
Snuggle the Cabrest up very close to the first, left wheel before you attach a dop stick.
I have photos of its use. Will look for them.

@melhill659, the cab rest is for cutting uniform girdles. After your cab is trimmed to the outline, place the blank top-down on the top of the cab rest, grab the rest as directed with your thumb in the recess, hold it close to the wheel and carefully grind the girdle slope to the outline using the angle on the cab rest. It works best with regular shapes like ovals, rounds etc. but can also be used with many freeform shapes except those with inside curves.
I seldom use mine, having developed my own system of girdling, but the cab rest works for many cutters. I find it a little awkward to use, especially trying to see what's happening with the cab because on my old machine the top of the cab rest is very close to the wheel enclosure. There just isn't much "seeing room." Maybe DP has improved that situation since my machine was made.

I enquired a while back about these containers, I thought they would be ideal, until I discovered the price, then found out it was going to cost me something like $65 postage on top to send to Australia. A pack of zip lock bags worth a couple of dollars seems like a better option, for me anyway.

Wish me luck!
Just ordered 13 disk storage cans from ebay from a seller with 100% positive ratings. 16mm 400 foot new plastic movie can. About 7"-7.5"diameter. Due Friday from Valencia, CA. Will give you details if you want them.
No word from amlap, and they haven't taken my money.

I was never impressed with graves. They will be your best buddy until you purchase than customer service goes out the window. I had a couple of issues with my cabber when i got it being broken switch (still broken to this day) and the grit wheels were never right for 220 and 280. I send both my wheels back and they said that, my 220 which had no issue was warn out and the 280 was fine. They sent me a new 220 soft wheel because the 280 grit soft wheel was no longer being produced. This retired my hard wheel or i can use it for my first grit on soft stuff.
so now without me having to buy a new set, i go from the 80 hard wheel to 220 flat lap disk to 220 soft wheel to my old "warn out" 280 soft wheel which acts like a 400-500 to my 600 and continue

QuailRiverI just got an email from amlap! Might be an automatic email. I hope they don't charge me; I will check on that in a minute. GOOD NEWS! I just received the 13 faceting lap containers from a seller on ebay. About $6.00 each. Thanks, everyone, for your helpful advice. Onward!

Please let us know what you learn as to whether or not they simply moved and are still in business or if they closed and are now gone for good? 13 lap containers should be enough to get you started! Re amlap: as of today, I have not been charged by amlap. The email they sent could have been an automatic email.
They do not have a phone number on their website, they are not accredited with BBB, and there is a 10 day lag between order date and expected shipping date --- with no communication during that time. I called the number the BBB has for them. That number is no longer in business.
Anyhow, I won't deal with amlap, Graves, or RockPeddler in the future.
Thanks for the heads up re the movie cans; they are perfect!

Thanks for the heads up re the movie cans; they are perfect! It sounds like AMLAP is gone for good now. The only reasons I can figure that their web site and Pay Pal account weren't closed down was either that death or serious health issues have prevented them from doing so, or that the owners have been locked out by a court order over some type of legal issue. I hope the best for them but it's a shame. For several years I had many transactions with good service from AMLAP. Graves however has had a long history of purported bad customer service. I believe going all the way back until when the founder Henry B. Graves was no longer capable of running the business and passed away. And I believe I read something not too long ago where there were some health issues with the owner/owners of the Rock Peddler and they had to suspend business for a while. Larry C.

QuailRiverAmlap not gone for good! After I cancelled my order from Rock Peddler (they didn't have any, and Graves was not responding), I ordered from amlap. Guess what? They arrived today from amlap. Received a form email saying so, they received the money from my credit card, sent me tracking information, and voila! Here today. Nice! Took over a month. However, box was from Graves, but sent by FedEx --- from amlap. It was amlap's tracking number and carrier. However 2, paperwork inside mentioned Rock Peddler. I think Graves is messed up. However 3, Rock Peddler telephoned me this morning saying Graves just notified her that they had mailed the disks to me on March 26. Well maybe they did, but it was not for her, but for amlap. Amlap thanked me for my patience. Actually, since I thought they were gone, I had ordered from ebay. Nice, easy, straightforward order and receipt of goods. Now I have 25 disk holders! What a process! What a mess!

Glad to learn that AMLAP lives! But WOW! - What a confusing mess! Hope they all get it together better! And I'm glad you were able to get your lap cases!

I ordered from them. Ordered a Genie DVD how-to, actually received it quickly but it must have been old because the disk was corrupt. I emailed them with my problem and they said Diamond Pacific was expecting more soon so.... not so great experience but not sure who's at fault. I'm contacting Diamond Pacific tomorrow. You should contact the people you did business with. Presuming you have paid them they really should have an obligation to complete the provision in order to satisfy the contract.

Checked my credit card account. Amlap is not mentioned. Interesting! I don't know what to make of that! I did business with AMLAP for several years with no issues. The owners had day jobs and ran the business out of their home so AMLAP was a second part-time income for them. And they often drop shipped orders from the manufacturer too. Both of these factors helped keep their prices low. So I understood communications would not be equal to that of a brick & mortar store like Kingsley but accepted that as the trade-off for the much lower prices. But what you've been describing seems bizarre. Plus over the last year or so I've seen several posts on various forums from folks that claimed that they had placed orders with AMLAP online and had no response. Some stated that their payment to Pay Pal was never claimed and they had to get Pay Pal to reimburse them. One poster claimed AMLAP was out of business and that he had checked into their mailing address and found that the home had been sold and the phone number reassigned. I doubled checked this myself to verify and found that the home had been recently sold and the phone number had been reassigned. So I had assumed that misfortune, of a nature that had prevented the owners form officially shutting down their site and Pay Pal business account, had befallen them. I'm not sure what is happening there but I hope they are able to correct their situation and continue to stay in business. Larry C.

Rock Peddler is a reseller only as far as I know. I bought my Genie from them way back when. Purchase with no problem and drop shipped. I was a Graves dealer briefly (choosing words wisely) I no longer am.
