Your work is fabulous!!! How were you ever able to match that so well? You must have a nice stash.

Your work is fabulous!!! How were you ever able to match that so well? You must have a nice stash. LOL! Thanks. I "might" have a bit of Turquoise "stashed" I have been working with it since the mid 90's and have bought a good bit over the years. The trick is to establish relationships with folks who have earned your trust and rarely buy from anyone else unless it is an in person transaction where you can see what you are buying. I also have a special "stash" of very old material that I save from larger pieces where I have replaced broken stones. Often the broken stones can be re cut into smaller ones to match existing stones in vintage jewelry. Never throw away Turquoise!

Do you not feel the Devcon is just another glue. Will it not fail over time? Vic

Do you not feel the Devcon is just another glue. Will it not fail over time? Vic I use Devcon plastic steel, not a clear epoxy resin, so it's on a different level than "glue". I seriously doubt it would degrade in 100 years! There have been Caterpiller bulldozer engine blocks patched with this stuff! Just to be clear, I will use the plastic steel to repair previously glued in stones, but do not make jewelry that I can not bezel set. I see way too many pieces that are missing stones that were set with clear epoxy and I have vowed I will never use the stuff!

A good fix and lovely ring. There's also a good chance the turquoise will green over time to match the 'odd' piece.
