McD eggs seem to open to a wonderful surprise. Friend came home with lots of them. All special as yours are. That red bow tie is a real eye catcher. Thanks.

here's a closeup of the long plume. On the left you can see another plume embedded in the matrix. How much would you like to see a time-lapse video of how this one formed? haha

Those are really cool! Rotate the second photo clockwise by about 20-30 degrees and you've got an image of a ghostly cat or canine leaping.

Beauteous Tommy! Weird to see plume in the matrix - but cool! I think that's a tiny layer of agate over matrix. Tommy jeannie wants to go there.

I think that's a tiny layer of agate over matrix. Tommy jeannie wants to go there. I don't think so Scott - the red "plumes" are solidly inside the opaque matrix. I've never seen anything quite like it. (edited to add this photo) Tell Jeannie I'm dreaming of going back there. It's shaping up as a rough year for my rock hounding activities with us taking care of momma 24/7. On top of that Eva is off to see her own momma in Germany in two weeks - necessary but expensive for an unemployed fool living on rocks heehee. We have our one "big" planned trip in June headed back up to Madras for the show. Also - most of these eggs I've been showing were taken off of "the claim bed that shall not be named..." We went there with permission of course. Once in a while the claim owner posts a date range on Facebook where he will be at the claim and invites folks up to dig for a fee. I've got a note in to him about when this will occur again but no response yet.

That's unique material Tommy. I've never seen anything like it. Love those T-eggs! Looking forward to seeing more cabs.
