Hi Everyone,
My cab machine has the original rubber rectangle sheets hanging down to spread the water across the wheels, unfortunately they dont work very well and the water is usually sent to one side or another. For all you crabbers and lapidarists, what do you use to spread the water across the wheels, or drums? What works best?
Thanks!

I don't know. My Genie doesn't have those. Hope someone knowledgeable sees this.
Good luck.
Welcome!

My cabking has two little nozzles (from a splitter) on the aquarium hose above each wheel. Would probably be pretty easy to set up even if that's not the original layout. Y Splitter linkIndividual nozzleCabking seems to sell them, but you can probably get them cheaper elsewhere.

I buy old Karate belts at the thrift store, glue them into a 3-sided form to spread the water on the wheel & catch spray from the sides. For 3" wide drums, I use 2 widths in the center, one on each side. I use green contact cement for permanence, but attach them to the hood with temporary rubber cement. I'm sure I've posted a picture here somewhere. Yes, somewhere. Lynn

So your saying your machine has a black belt. Better not mess with it it's a lethal weapon. Hehe.

I've seen everything from old inner tubes, carpet, green scrubbies, and what I use, the vinyl strips they hang in freezer doors in restaurants. I install the strips with screws and washers so they can be easily replaced.

If there's a leather shop near you, heavy oil tanned saddle leather works good. I've also seen sections of old fire hose used, as well as the heavy belting used on antique tractors. Cheap kitchen sponges will also work.

I use the green generic scotch brite type scrubbies, they seem to work best for me.

All you really need is any material that will knock the water down on the wheel and keep centrifugal force from sending it in your direction.
