My youngest started college Monday, I constructed a new rock garden, fixed my rock saw, put up more rock shop shelves/reorganized a bit better, cleaned the house, went grocery shopping and... Finished only 1 Cab this week but I Love It! It was given to me by a special friend of Steve's ( bitterbrook) and mine, Charlie. It was in his dad's stash left to him after he passed. Hope I did it justice Charlie!! I call it Fiery Mountain

Mel That's very cool! I love the picture on the leaf. Wonderfully crafted and creatively displayed. Putting those new skills to work. Craig

Are you messing with the color balance or is it picking up on background?

Are you messing with the color balance or is it picking up on background? I did play with the color a bit so I could capture more of what the stone really looked like. It has a lot of depth. Hoping I'll be able to set it in a piece that will compliment.

What was wrong with your saw?

What was wrong with your saw? It started making a new unfamiliar noise an a screeching sound right when I turned it on too. So I immediately turned it off. I checked the blade for warping like Jim taught me during our visit. It was good then I took the cover off to view the pulleys. You know... check the simple things first. The elongated solid rectangle piece that lines up the large pulley onto the blade shaft an also helps with tightening had came out completely and the pulley had moved. So now it's fixed and running smoothly again!

melhill1659 Mel, do you know what that rock is? Very, very neat. Gotta tell ya, you won me over in another thread when you admitted to "crapping in the woods." A gal after my own heart. Used to be that I would say, "does a bear shit in the woods?" Maybe now, I substitute your name with the word, "bear." All in fun. No harm meant. Dave
