Damn you RTH'rs are a sneaky bunch. I was sitting in my recliner watching reruns of reruns and feeling generally depressed when the mailman walked up on the porch with a box. Had to holler for mama to bring it in, since I can no longer carry anything larger than a cup of coffee. Of course mama immediately accused me of buying something off of ebay. After seeing the return address on the box, I began to think something was up. Mama opened the box, and we both began to dig through the treasures. My depression quickly went away. A long time ago I learned that rockhounds are the best sort of people. But you RTH'rs are the best of the best. It hurts too much sitting in front of this computer for more than a few minutes at a time, so I will soon go and have another happy pill. But before I go, I want to thank each and every one of you for your kindness. You made this ornery old goat's day. ROCK ON. Don Yay! You got em and they performed their designated duty! I'm glad you are enjoying them.

were not all cabbers so tommy let me send a tumble. its the thought that counts. Not to worry. Up until a few years ago while I was able to take my buddy Jake on long walks, I would come home with my pockets loaded with tumble size pieces of agate and pet wood. I kept a 15 lb tumbler rolling year round. Somewhere in the tumbling section there are pics of some of my tumbles. My tumbles were always donated to the local Girl Scouts for craft projects. That being said, my first love has always been cabbing. I learned cabbing in a junior high rock club way back in the early 50's, using silicon carbide belts on old bump wheels. Don

Don - I was running out the door on a weekend trip when I got your note so I'm just now home and settling in. Really pleased this box brought a smile to your face - it represents skill and hard work of a lot of folks here who care a lot about you. Bill was a rockstar - the idea was all his and he brought it all the way home. I love how it worked out - literally every single piece that was sent to me made it into the box. We waited as long as we could and when Bill finally told me to ship the damn thing out - I was *literally* walking out the door to the post office when the postman brought four more packages. As carefully as I could I cut open the bottom of the box and got those pieces in too. As it turns out those were the last four. Stay strong and keep rubbing them rocks - there's some good energy in them

Hey Tommy thanks for the kudos. I gotta be careful with you being so nice, I might stop hating you!!! LOL. Love you my Ca. brother!
Gmornin Don and Jake.
Don is my true friend. He and I met because I bought a ancient PDQ gemstone drill. I needed a handle for the platform to be able to pulsate the drill by hand. Other than that mine was I thought complete. Oh no the thing is actually a complete gem workin lapidary tool. You can saw, grind, polish, buff and drill with it!!! Don filled me in on this complete with pics. The old goat is very good with pictures, computers and tecnology! He has the complete machine plus a incomplete with parts. I didn't understand how the lever handle hooked in so he sent me pics of it in detail plus schematics for the correct bend. I thanked him and proceeded to let life pass on. He contacted me at a later date to find out how the drill and I were getting along. I had to tell him I had never made the handle. So Don just up and sent me a extra handle that he had!!! No charge and he refused money for shipping !!! Don that drill is now in use in the shop and both the Lovely Susan and I enjoy the projects that it is absolutely essential for!!!
What Tommy said Don!!! Keep on rubbing them rocks you old goat of a mountain man!

I still have a number of spare parts for vintage machines. When I can, I read posts about vintage machines being rebuilt. If I have needed parts, I'll contact the person and send them the parts. My machine rebuilding days are over. I might as well put my parts where they'll do the most good. Don
