Sweet! I guess the concave wheels would be for either doming the top of your intarsia, or for making a controlled curve on something? Weird! What does Al say to use them for?
edited to add: From the website: "Curved (Patent Pending) 180 & 600 Grit Diamond Lap Cabachon Combo Attachment that takes Cab forming to new levels of joy. Wow, kiss those nasty flat spots and frustrating hours eliminating them goodbye!"
So I guess it's for cabbing. Interesting.
Can you tell us the clearance between the work surface and the wheel? And I would love to have a copy of his accessory list - it's not on the website.
Thanks!

Making room Awe come on now, two of you have them now. not fair, not fair at all. Okay, where do I order this? Sorry, I remember seeing it posted. I should have asked better but you are familiar with my poor choice of words sometimes. I assumed the deck and disc were square but for what I am making (small stone boxes) I need square two directions at the same time to get perfect squares and rectangles that have square sides also. I can get it close by hand but it is slow and easy to mess them up. Jim

What Jim wampidytoo said: "I assumed the deck and disc were square but for what I am making (small stone boxes) I need square two directions at the same time to get perfect squares and rectangles that have square sides also. I can get it close by hand but it is slow and easy to mess them up." I've been dying to say this but it's hard to describe. My Perp-it has the same problem. Mel did say there are a bunch of accessories available. I suppose you could glue/clamp a vertical wall onto the "work surface" horizontal plate.

wampidytoo Bluesky78987Here's a crappy phone pic of the part listings for the adjustable platform and adjustable protractor that give it the ability to do compound miter stuff. I only got the basic unit because I also have an old facetor set up to do stuff like that. I will probably make a few fixed angle clamp on blocks for the rare times I'll need them. I think Carol's husband designed some bits like that for the Perp-it as well Here's a trick little facetors mast like doodad for the unit, costs as much as the machine but I see why. Telephone contact seems to work best for Al 904-81zero-zero388 Website is what it is... www.alsesonagrinder.com/

So have you made anything yet Mel? I’m working on a few things now but not ready to post anything. After getting the Grinder I added a few other things to the shop an I’ve had to put those together as well. My little rolling mill with extra rollers an in the back is a bench shear. I haven’t put the handle on that yet. Of course when adding new Equipment you have to totally reorganize. An all of this stuff has to be moved to the Jewelers Bench
