OK that white eye trick is just weird. I melted the white Janke shard on black plate glass. A big bubble made a zit crater so I remelted. The black plate erupted from the bottom and filled the crater. I could have had this happen before. I could force the situation and drill a hole in the top shard and lay it on a colored(black in this case) plate, then melt. Same eruption from the bottom would probably occur and make the poppy pattern with center color of bottom glass. You never know what that glass is going to do, I like it as it is like a lady.

That is one beat up old expensive 12 year old 6M Nikon Dslr fernwood. It is full of sand and mold lol. Has to be manual focused and I go ahead and shot it manual in all settings and read the exposure meter. But the lens is coup de gras fine. Camera been on one too many expeditions.

Higher DPI's are so over rated in my book. I understand completely.

I thought this lady thing goes away with elevated age, guess not. I can drill holes and then melt, that volcanic up lift quite interesting. Makes the same ringed pattern every time.

Pretty soon we are going to have to suggest a place be started for glass tumbling and craft, with an upfront caution; color blast ahead. Watching this stuff is really interesting.

Higher DPI's are so over rated in my book. I understand completely. Read several articles about these 25M cameras. Apparently they have short comings. Can set this old one on RAW and it too creates large images. A good path is Raw, the processor does no color clipping. The mold is an issue though.

I don't miss the fractures and the voids rocks have Larry. After tumble there may be 3 or 4 duds out of 400 pieces. rocks rarely have that low a reject rate. Glass can be a mind bender when you are melt color manipulating, usually totally unpredictable. Helps to stay in groove and in practice, about due a sabbatical from it for a while and rest. Will take an extended rest soon and am fully aware I will forget a bunch.

Not only are your glass pieces outstanding, but your photos are suitable for framing!
Wow!

Love the white eye and love that last set. The last set is really Georgia O'Keeffe-ish. Beautiful.

Not only are your glass pieces outstanding, but your photos are suitable for framing! Wow! Addicted to photographing the glass Pat. Made a decision to replace the worn out pro grade Nikon camera with a new one with a working automatic focus. 35 years working in the bright sun and welding has taken a toll on my close vision. Can't hardly focus the camera.
