I’m impressed with the number of Lake Superior agates you found in Marquette. Honestly, I haven’t really hunted in Marquette although I visit my mom and sister there at least a couple times a year. You did a great job polishing them too. Do you mind sharing which beaches you visited? I’ve only looked around Presque Isle a little bit, but no where else in the area.

No Kidding I bet all together everywhere we went while in the UP we got over 100 Lakers. MaryJane is a Agate Magnet. By the way, My Avatar is a Picture of me in 2008 on top of Black Rock I know you know where that is. We were with Jack Schnieder and his wife Gail He is originally from South Bend (Damn Irish)!!!!!!! He later was a deputy and Worked his way up to being UnderSheriff of Marquette County. Anyways we became friends as I was into Wheel Horse Tractors looking on Craigslist after we talked awhile and in the course of our conversation when he found out I was Jail Maint Supervisor Berrien County the price went from $600.00 to you come get it. On 1 condition you buy me and my wifes dinner. Hell yes I said. MaryJane and I We went there and picked it up. As far as the beaches we hunted by black rock and found a few and then on the Beaches and Pull off's just about 2-4 miles before Marquette There are like rest areas coming from Munising that you can pull off and look at the lake those were the best areas.

That surprises me that those beaches on the way into town had rocks, let alone Lakers. They looked too sandy to me. I’ll check them out next time I’m there when they’re not covered in ice and snow. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. I have seen days along the shoreline that the rocks were not to be found, Then three days later BAM Rock's. Ive seen it like that as short a time that iv'e been doing it. I bet you guys have seen those days too as long as you have been doin it.
