Our own RTH member Roy found out my travel trailer was totaled on the way to Quartzite by a rear end crazy person hitting me. My back is messed up etc and the cam per totaled. Roy imediate lyrics messaged me on Facebook to check on me and givery some really appreciated advice. Then he said he was sending me some cabs for free to wrap and take my mind off things!! Free!!! I told him I would send him a gift back of some wrapped. They came today, 10 really nice big beautiful cabs!!! Thank you Roy, you are my pardner!!! I am now officially going to forgive you for throwing my pieces of antique porcelain toilet that I found in the Owhyee Mtns of Oregon while hounding with you and the group!!! Thanks so much Roy!!!

I cannot figure out how to load a pic. Roy has done me good and I want to post a picture. Why is this so complicated. I have the speed now to upload and I click the upload file button and nothing understandable happens. It wants a long string of code I think to post the pic. I hate to complain but with one million posts and supposedly the best forum on line why can't pics be posted??? Yes I am exasperated!!! Plus those lityle square cubes of color falling are totally distracting. Listen folks the inter net has grown way past our dinosaur photo situation. My participation is steadily moving more to Facebook groups or forums whatever you want to call them. Others are moving too. I appreciate you to no end Roy and I will reward the world with praise and pictures on Facebook. You are a great man. RTH I love you but you are headed to the dino pile of fossils!!!

orrum, did you sign up for cloudinary? You have to sign up first. Then all you have to do is drag and drop your pics. forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/page/using-cloudinaryI feel for you, I really do, but you have to follow the instructions to the T to be able to upload then it's EZPZ. roy is a good guy! That was super awesome of him. I'm really sorry abt losing your camper. Bummer. I know how much you love to travel. Do you have any plans to replace it?

Thanks Tela but I have no need to join anot her item or app in order to post pics. No other site on the Internet requires that plus it doesn't work well with android. As I have pointed out in the past no one on a percentage basis uses a desktop anymore. It's android phones or tablets and or I pads or itablets. In any business you grow and expand or die. Enough on this subject. This thread is to compliment my friend Roy for a very thoughtful and caring gift!!! Yeaaa you go ROY!!!

Tela I just posted on Lapidary Forum, the other forum about Roy and added a pic. It loaded immediately just as fast as I could type, select pic, hit upload and poof there it was, all done. Maybe we need to ask them for some advice on how to fix our picture problem?

I upload my photos to my RTH folder on my website - www.playzar.com, then copy the filename/path to the post. Not that I don't have a smartphone or tablet, but I'm a Workin' Man, sitting next to my personal compouter while I work on my company computer. Does that make me one of the 1%? Does that make me rich? Wow! I've never known what it was to be rich, just comfortable. Lynn

Most of the people here on phones use tapatalk to post pictures and text. www.tapatalk.com/ Unless you are willing to pay for the board to host pictures, then I guess you'll have to post in other places or learn how to post pictures like the rest of us. I don't even own a phone, so I can't help with tapatalk, but I hear people like it.

Bill, Cloudinary works just fine with my Android. It is about the simplest way to upload pix.
You are still having problems with it? Have you considered it may be OE?

Orrum, let a grandchild show you how to use tapatalk and an I-phone and pay a technology fee for the help.

Not a trespass, a helping hand! Agreed, Roy is a very generous person. When orrum started relating the story, I thought he was going to say that Roy made arrangements to send a new truck and camper to NC for his use, lol.
ETA - orrum, to use Cloudinary, there is no app that needs to be uploaded to your phone, taking up precious space. I'm willing to bet you have other apps for social media taking up a bunch of space.

Maybe we need to ask them for some advice on how to fix our picture problem? Hi Bill - you know I love you brother and trust me if I could wave a magic wand and fix the Proboards forum software photo issues I would. Well I don't so I have to do the next best thing which is to do my best to improvise within the Proboards software that our founder chose, and do what I can to find working solutions and that working solution is currently the Cloudinary program. Cloudinary is no different than Flickr or any other 3rd party host EXCEPT that Cloudinary has offered a widget that integrates with various forum software packages, and someone from Proboards wrote a plug-in that uses said widget to integrate drag and drop file uploading into Proboards posts. Is it a perfect solution? No. Will there ever be a perfect solution as long as this forum remains on the Proboards software? Well, I hope it improves with Proboards v6 due out soon - but I'm not all that optimistic based on how long they have dug in their heels and refused to budge on the photo issue. Honestly the only way to do what you are asking me to do - so we can be like those other forums that are photo friendly - is to take possession of our million posts of data and migrate it into a different forum software package. Last time I checked the cost to start down that road is $2500 to get access to the data and another approximately $500 in tech support costs to help with the migration. At the end of the day there are literally thousands of things that can go wrong when trying to migrate a huge database from one forum software to another and our $3000 can't guarantee it won't result in a major calamitous crash and effectively the end of RTH. To me it's not worth the risk of destroying this site that I have been trusted not to steer on to an iceberg.
