Tela, are there some rocks in the box left over from previous years? Could be someone that doesn't hang out around here much anymore. Like someone from Wyoming, maybe? Like Jim? wampidytoo
Could be. I wish I could remember the name of the one guy. He wasn't here very long. He sent some youngite, too. And, yes, I have gotten some from Jim that looks similar, but it didn't have any flash. - Just remembered his name- Braders. Thought of a couple more people in Wyoming. Until recently, Russ nowyo lived there. Also John Thunder69 's brother, Brian wyobrian . I'm sure there are more from that rock hunter's paradise.

A lot of it is very fractured, though. Her piece may not even be from there. Just looked similar. Who knows?

When I received the box, I photographed all of the contents. Dunno if it will help, but here are 2 pics showing #4 and other materials that were taped along side. 29 29a When I magnified the photo, it does look like some Feldspar in there.

#1. Looks like a moss agate I believe from Mexico I have or had some. Fist thing to look at is the greenish grey Rhine if it's what I think it is it will be very soft you should be able to scrap it off pretty easy. Then hold it up to a light source can you see through certain areas of very clean & clear quartz. Next check with black light possible floursceses to.
#3. This looks very much like bacon onyx also from Mexico I bought a slab awhile back with label on it mine is or was polished but has been tossed around and in my option trashed the polish.
When I have time I will look for mine and show you and might look a little deeper for positive id for you. Pretty sure about both but to busy at this time other than a visual id for you.

#4 looks to be a granitic pegmatite with quartz, biotite mica or hornblende and k feldspar.
