I agree it does resemble a agatized honeycomb. Honeycomb from honey bee? Maybe There a couple sites that maybe helpful to you. Www.Dwarvesearthtreasures.com. once there click on top left page bar then it will take you to other links go down the list until you see DaYoopers.com a lapidary shop located in Michigan specializing in Michigan agates. They may be helpful. If not look online I can't remember the site, but type in bees nest fossils or how rare are they? The site I am talking about is about recent finds of bees, hornets, nest fossils and how rare they were until a find in Africa that link will eventually take you other links back to canadia and back to the US its all about bees, hornets fossils. Fossil finds from around the middle 2000's ? 2009? If you can't find any help from any of these sites your not looking hard enough. With that said if and when you find a site in the contact section send them a picture. Good luck I hope you did find a honeybee honey comb.

On second though I do not recommend that site now. I found it about a month ago and searched it seemed like a reliable site. But since just made that loud mouth post I logged on it to see what could find and post.
The links were not found maybe they have been hacked I do not recommend dwarfs earth treasures for this reason
Sorry for this

Nice agate, I will say that it is more likely a coral than anything else.

Quartz. The geometric shapes are most likely the cross sections of quartz crystals.

Nice agate, I will say that it is more likely a coral than anything else. It does resemble coral when you see it in sunlight.

I think some stones have specific sounds if you hit them with ? Tink? Thud? Thunk? Ping? Have you tried the sound test and compared it with the knowns? Interesting.

It's a section of geode. Agate grown after quartz. The quartz grew, then agate forming conditions happened and agate was formed. This is a section of a fullsphere geode
