Chuck, are you planning to update this post with pictures after the vibe? Or, do another thread with side by side photos? Either will be very interesting because the ones here are so nice I can barely imagine an improvement. I really had no plans here. I just got busy and missed a clean out so these ran extra long in 500 grit. After I dried them off I thought they looked pretty darn good so I posted the results so others could see the results. I may try to take another round of photos but there are too many variables in handheld workbench photography to do a real comparison. The same rocks positioned the same in a light tent with a tripod that had not moved would be the only good way to do that. Chuck

Those look really good, Chuck. I have at times wondered about doing something similar but always chickened out, I guess.

Thanks Stephan. Wow, the Owyhee Jasper material can look amazing. I will some day have to plan an adventure to that part of Nevada. Thank you.
I appreciate you providing the source for those stones Chuck. I am very tempted to contact Roy and buy some, but will hold off for just now.

Looking good. What will you do with them when done?

i kind of prefer rocks that are more opaque. so my favorites are the ones in the second photo! i'd really like to find a lot of those some day. Thank you for sharing. Those are picture jaspers. Awesome tumbling material. I bought them from RTH member royforum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/84679/moving-large-estateChuck you made those jaspers shine like a new penny
