Hello, my very first attempt to tumble glass, (broken bottles, jars and dishes). I really like the way it turned out. I only tumbled them each 24 hours with grit #1 and #2, skipped #3, used the aluminum oxide to polish. This is the look I wanted to achieve and got it. I'm a beginner and at this point experimenting, learning how to use the equipment and having fun! If my pictures are too large, I apologize, I'm not very tech savy or using cloudinary.com.

Looks like you've got a good start. Keep it up, as that is how most of us learned...by practice!

If I were to tumble longer would these pieces be (mostly) clear and shiny? Yes. I would give bottle/jar glass a week in each stage with lots of small round pebbles. Maybe check the course stage earlier to be sure it isn't grinding away too much.

Most folks use a vibratory tumbler like a Lot-O to get the high polish on glass Anita. But you may succeed using your rotary tumbler. Glass is soft and tricky to polish in any tumbler. You might want to roll stage 2-3-4 for at least a week each and keep the barrel filled to 85%(instead of 70%)with glass (and ceramics if you intend on using them). I would not add any more untumbled ceramics during stage 2-3-4, just add glass if you need to maintain 85% fill.
