I decided to skip the 60/80 SIC for a batch I put in 3 lb rotary yesterday. They are mostly pretty smooth, 6.5 to 7.5 hardness. Dallasite, PJ, LSA's, Quartz and other chalcedony's. Some are beach tumbled and some look like another had tumbled a little before I got them.
I did put a couple of rough Labradorite in, just to get them shaped some. If it does not work, oh well, as I have a lot of Lab to play with. These pieces do not have much flash.
Understand that is a pretty big hardness range. That there may be some undercutting for the Dallasite, which I am fine with.
They are in 120/220 SIC now. Added about 40% mix of previously used ceramic media and some pea gravel. Used saved slurry as a starter.
So, let me have it.
Any advice on things I should be aware of?
Thank you
