I was kind of shocked that everything does not have thorns or needles here.

A big thank you to Scott. We had a good day out there. Norm and I will hit a few more spots today. I'll put up a few pictures when I get home.

Shorts? Tennis Shoes? No hat?.... you guys better stay away from the Big Bend area of Texas, you will be hurtin for certain!! I forgot my hat. Won't happen again. Although, today, I'm not burned hardly at all. I will wear shorts in Texas though. I've hunted snakes and lizards there and had no issues.

vegasjames, nowyo and fishnpinballIt was fun putting you on some productive spots. I'll find more for the next time. Thank you all as well. Although, James is a good dude, Jax is the real franchise. 😉

A few more pictures. Found some rocks.
Scott NRG didn't get many rocks. Too busy catching us lunch.
Jax made sure that James didn't stray too far.
Fun trip, great folks.

Second day was just Russ and me. We checked out the thunderegg site, was pretty much a wash. I found one possible after moving about a cubic yard of dirt. I did find a couple of sagenite sprays on the way up and down the mountain. We checked out Lavic and had a good time and then returned to the powerline road and finished the day with some neat finds. Winds were kicking up to about 60, nearly enough to knock you off your feet. The next day I was headed east and there were 4 semis that had been knocked over a little bit further east than we were collecting at.
