I've been a Rock Hounds for a long time, drove a truck for close to 20 years and took every chance I could to be in a place I could go play in the dirt. Problem was couldn't do much with my finds because I was never home long enough. Retired from driving a couple years back and during some clean up realized just how much rock I have in my collection. Was never able to really afford a cabbing machine but stumbled on an old GemTec that needs some TLC off EBay it's supposed to be here tomorrow needs a belt and new sanding wheels the ones on it have cracks on the surface. I have a darn good collection of Montana Moss Agate and some pretty good thunder eggs from NM and a whole bunch of " ??" But it looks cool type of rocks Let the adventure begin

Well it sounds like you are off to a good start. Restoring equipment is part of the fun, but opening rocks with a saw is about as much fun as your best birthday party. Welcome.

Thanks, one cool additional thing is I now work for Harbor Freight needless to say getting grinder motors and other little toys isn't going to be really hard

Hello, and welcome! It's great you get to start off with a rockpile you already collected yourself. What fun working those will be.
A friend of ours moved last year to Canton, from north-central AZ. He was bummed that there aren't many "rock people" around there.
You found a good place here on the RTH, with a lot of helpful and fun people here.

Harbor Freight has great little tile saw that would make a good starter saw if you don't already have something comparable or better.
