Hello!
I searched and only found an old thread so I thought I would make an updated one.
I have two 33b Lortone tumblers and all four nylon washers are ground to nothing. It seems to be the one part that is not sold and to add to that, they are not removed by a screw- a permanent pin keeps the nylon washers in place.
Has anyone had this issue and have a good solution?

I had some round lexan pieces for protecting pinball plastics that I use. with a 10-32 bolt, nut, and washers. could cut similar with a hole saw in a sheet of lexan.

Mine did that also on my 33b. I drilled out the pins, bought a handful of the nylon washers at the hardware store and put a screw in the the hole to hold them in. It worked perfectly.

I see this happening on my 33B and I'm thinking some small sealed bearings might be the ticket. It's on my to-do list.

Here's a pic of what I did. It was super easy and the washers are cheap.

Fascinating. My 33B has been running for over 2 years, constantly, and there is barely-discernable wear on these?

I've mentioned this before but the barrels always seem to walk to one end or the other. I've even used a level to make sure that wasn't the problem. Right now I have old dvd's under one end but it seems like I have to check and adjust things on a daily basis.

If you have a short level, try putting a thin board on the shafts themselves and placing your level on that? Or just replace the nylon washers every so often. :-D

What I checked was the surface that the tumbler was sitting on and it was level. I've had it on a concrete floor and workbench in the garage and right now it's still inside on carpet in the basement, same deal in every location. Yep looks like I'll keep replacing the washers. It only takes like 2 minutes so it's no big deal.

Just an update, I found these larger washers with very small holes online. I was able to use small machine screws and hex nuts in the original rivet hole so was a very simple switch with no drilling

Interesting. They look a bit larger than the stock ones. Well, one thing for sure, they will increase the surface area of the contact point, thus reducing the rate at which they disintegrate. All material being equal (ie, thickness, etc) of course. Looks good!

If you want to find oversized washers, then search for "Fender Washers". Never saw a big washer on a guitar tho .

I just used a plastic lid from a bottle of water and a screw to replace my worn out washer
