I recently polished a large puddingstone and made a video of my method. I thought it might be helpful for anyone who wanted to shine up a rock too big for a tumbler.

Really nice! Great instruction and glad you had a mask when grinding dry. Lovely spot in your yard to play with rocks.

Nice tutorial Rob! But where is the U of M shirt? (I guess you slipped on the maize and blue for the final segment)

Jugglerguy, that is another great video that gives excellent directions for a large stone. It also points out how checking and finishing each step is important before moving to the next step if one wants an excellent product. Did you buy the water grinder at Harbor Freight?

No, that’s a Makita grinder. I got the cup grinder and the cloth cone shaped thing at Harbor Freight.

You make it look so easy. It’s not too difficult. I have only done three bowls and five rocks using this tool.
