Looks like the wife and I will be passing on Quartzsite this year. She's still dealing with her viral infection, and I also have it to a lesser degree. As it stands, any long term amount of time spent on our feet results in our asses being kicked for the day, so we can't see trying to do this for multiple days. As much as there are folks I'd like to meet, this would be a tough trip for us. As such, we are going to have to pass on this trip. Peruano, while I don't have a great answer for you, I did note that vendors in DG were packing and leaving which corresponded with the end of Pow Wow. Hopefully catmandewe can jump in and give you some guidance.

Get rid of this stinking virus and get yourselves better. There's always next year!

Get rid of this stinking virus and get yourselves better. There's always next year! Thanks Robin. I was looking forward to meeting you, Vince, TheRock, MJ, and others. But, we just can't shake this thing. I was on my feet for four hours today at our ranch property and ended up feeling like I got run over by a truck. I'm hedging rest against trying to walk around for three days. Sleep is at a premium for us right now. Quartzsite doesn't lend itself to that. If we get into the Prescott area in the near future, I'll let you know.

So. . . for people with bad timing, how long does Desert Gardens Rock aggregation go after Tucson starts. Medical appts etc are keeping me from coming toward California until the last week of Jan, meaning I'll miss the party and many of those here. Is there are mass exodus from Desert Gardens or does the vender community trickle away depending on their involvement or not at Tucson. Advice needed please. I just want to look at/buy some rough. Technically the show here is Jan 1 to Feb 10 so anytime in there should be fine. According to the show managers you cannot be in the AB,CD rows (the two front rows) if you don't stay here the whole time. Some vendors do pack up and leave for Tuscon but there will still be lots of people left here, the mass exodus is usually around the end of Feb, if customers keep coming then people will stay here but as soon as it gets down to having to take cash out of your pocket to pay for the rental of the space because there are no customers coming then the vendors move out. Tony

But then there is Tucson...some shows start as early as Jan. 29th. Just in case you need an excuse to by stone...a little extra weight might help with the slick roads on the way back home.
