With the banding + translucency, I'd say agate.

To me, it has the appearance of chert, but has typical agate patterns.

I have a bunch I'd love to do. I need to finish setting up the saw and dive into that. More rocks and ideas of what I want to do and learn than time allows lol.

From Lake Superior? Looks like an agate to me (but I'm no expert). Nope, just the middle of Michigan. Not from a lake. Definitely has a few agate like banding lines. Couple slices should show it off better. I have a day off tomorrow, see if I can get set up to try

Got it cut, well tried. Got to a couple points where it hit a wall and wouldnt cut through - any idea what that could be?
