I work outside and it won't be warm enough to cab until this afternoon and I like to work in the morning. I glued up 5 pieces of Owyhee from catmandewe and can't slab until tommorow. I did it inside because it's two cold for the glue to dry. I tried to split the Blue Mountain slab. It fractured on the bottom but I like the redrawn shape. The slabs are fairly even but hacked uo so Iwll need to clean them up grinding. The first two preforms are Tony Owyhee. I'm going to get about 10 small slabs from the piece and it is very gemmy material. The cabs I've seen made from it have the stripes on the diagonal. Last preform is Morrisonite piece I got on ebay. My camera does a poor job mixing light and dark objectsso the pattern doesn't show.
