Where is it from? Have you done a streak on it? If so is it red? the red in the image looks like rhyolite or possibly jasper. Have you tested its hardness (mohs scale)?

Have you tested its hardness (mohs scale)? ostensibly it is from Frio county Texas, but i am not sure where i picked it up. i did not Moh's test it before i polished it and i did not streak it. it was very plain, brownish black before polishing but the silver became visible in the course grit

it looks more like rhyolite
