There was a previous topic about lighting for a cabbing machine. I couldn't find it so I started this topic. The on/off switch broke on my Genie light broke and the bulb burned out on my free standing light that I use with my stardiamond. I tried putting in a regular lcd bulb and it didn't work very well.
I ordered a clamp on lamp from Amazon and four 75 watt lcd spot bulbs. I clamped on the light to the Genie lamp stalk and the lighting was excellent. The clamping part not so much, but some duct tape will solve that problem.

Here is a Thread I searched for on Cab Machine Lighting. Good Luck ~Duke

Bummer about the lamp. The switch on mine bit the dust a couple of years ago. Found that the "lamp holders" most easily available have slightly different dimensions.
Had to improvise a bit, but was able to make it work.

I'm going to duct tape the lamp to the Genie lamp stalk and move the lamp with it.

Good one! I think I have the same light here, and I really like it.
If you can reshape the grip ends to conform a little better to the shape of the stalk you could really cinch it on there with a hose clamp or two.
I like your idea because the Genie lamp isn't as long as I'd like. Thought about getting a Titan light, but never wanted to pay the price for one... .

Here's the fix on my Genie lamp.
Drilled a piece of 1/2" thick cutting board and cut it out with a hole saw. Sealed it with E6000 and o-ring to keep water out.
Have used pieces of old cutting board on lots of things. Easy to work with... .

Diamond Pacific also offers replacement switch kits for their (Moffatt) task lamps.
