Miss Ali did great, she cleaned out my middle desk drawer of all the scrap laying in there to make her pieces.

I will share this here.
Billy gave me some rocks to take home and cut. My dad who has just been like a kid has taken over the saw and has been cutting away.
I went to the grocery store came home and found he not only slabbed one of the rocks that I just brought back already, but he got on my slant lap and did his 1st cab.
And he killed it
Apparently tapatalk only allows you so many photos in a month to upload. So I'll have to attach it the other way.

What is/are the slabs with blue? They are beautiful.
You are so lucky to be able to have Billy's guidance on learning a new skill.
Cool that your dad is getting into rocks.

I think it's awesome that he's taking an interest and now maybe he won't complain as much if you take over some more garage space for your bench!

He is having fun. Keeps him busy and out of mom's way also which is really nice.
He is already talking about building another bench

Cool that your dad is getting into rocks. chrysocolla Billy is a cool guy and I am so blessed I get to hang with him and learn. It is very cool. My dad has always been into rocks, just not at this level. Hanging out in the workshop with him is priceless. It's why I came home.

I would have given anything to be able to spend more quality time with my dad. It's going to be wonderful memory making time. Enjoy it!

Faceted gold rutilated quartz This was another fun lesson! One more and then I gotta head south
This is my fav by far. I love the stone, the simplicity and neatness of it. I'd wear it, no problem and I'm picky abt rings. Nice job.
So glad I can see your pics again. I see them on IG, but it's weird, it seems like people don't comment much on IG. I always feel odd doing it, like it's uncool or something.

Your dad did awesome!! I think it is really cool getting to spend time like this and make some great memories. My dad lived me toward the end of his life and it was great- difficult because of his disease but really great.
Your dad seems like a natural. Makes sense, you pick up quick, too.
