Thanks for posting the pictures guys! That looks like loads of fun. I would love to get down there and do some shopping. I would probably exhaust my budget within 5 minutes of being there! 😂

I woulda took even more pics but man do you get sidetracked there lol. I will say some of the stuff folks had blew me away but the most jaw dropping stuff for me would have to be the Crater Agates and the kunzites and aquas in the Pakistani gentlemen’s booth. That stuff made me drool! My pics in no way do these justice. The orange outline on the crater agates literally looked like it was a plugged in led lighting set up!

Thanks for the phots Tommy and quartzilla! Post more when you have time and you remember to take them. I know how easy it is to get so distracted that you forget to take pictures.

Ok here are our Quartzite purchases. Descriptions below each pic: Swali agates. This stuff was so fun to purchase! Digging thru a huge bin of these was a gas! About 12lbs of material here for us to tumble and or saw polishing the faces. Miscellaneous stones to use in tumbles. Just stuff that caught my eye! Un-polished mariposite bookends. Material from central CA. Got these as practice pieces for learning how to use my flat lap. If they come out good these will be a gift for my mother in law. Anybody with any tips on polishing mariposite feel free to chime in lol! Mexican Hotshots. More cutting and flat lap stuff. Can’t wait to see what’s inside! Bahias! Same plan as the Hot Shots! Some inexpensive slabbing material. Idea here is to practice cabbing! The Tiger Iron looks like it has really neat possibilities! Chalcedony for my ultraviolet collection. These look like green glowing lips with my Convoy light! Wavelite specimen from Magnet Cove area. The couple selling these was really cool. The guy and his digging partner busted up a huge boulder to get a mess load of these. He actually had pieces that he cabbed with resin to stabilize them. They looked great, wish I woulda got pics of them! Here was the bulk of the money I spent: several master laps and a bunch of diamond discs of various grits for my flat lap. Also pictured a new 10” MK Agate cutter blade and some stencils for cabs. Now ordering the last stuff I need to get my garage shop up and running. If my results are not too embarrassing I will be sure to post up some pics lol! Thanks for looking!

The party was good, connecting actual faces to a few more names was a good thing. I kinda sucked at taking photos this time, so not much to add. The only things we purchased were a few chunks of red and green blanket from Tony and some Opticon from a vendor at Tyson Wells. We got nothing at the PowWow, even though there was some real nice stuff.

I took some pictures and came home with rocks but as soon as we got back I got thrown into some long days of work so I haven't had time to sort thru it things yet.

So yeah, we had a great time in QZ this year with the center piece of the trip being the pleasure of hanging out with Tony catmandewe on Friday night along with a great group of folks from the RTH community. Sincerely thank you again Tony for being such a cool dude and doing so much to promote a sense of community. It was fun chatting with our friend Russ nowyo, and as a bonus getting to see (and hug) Diane drocknut and Frank, as well as the Anthony family christopherl1234 who all stopped by to say hi after a long day of activity at a PowWow booth. It was an honor to meet for the first time Lee Rockoonz and Elizabeth, Scott quartzilla and Sasha (please correct me on the spelling if necessary) and the gentleman in the Wyoming shirt and hat - I hate myself for being so bad with remembering names haha. Maybe he'll chime in or if someone can give me an assist on this one. Somehow Elizabeth managed to escape the photo so my apologies to her as well.
