Yesterday I received two new units to my family, a QT66 and a baby girl 6 lbs. 1oz!
Mom and baby are fine and back at the hospital, I had to come home and recharge, and of course check the posts...

[glow=pink,2,300]Congrats Scott!! [/glow] I know how happy I was when my son was born. You really must be in heaven right now with your daughter's arrival as well as your new tumbler! Seize the day and enjoy them as much as you can. Now daddy has a little rockhound helper.... [glow=blue,2,300]Brett[/glow]

Congrats on that new little one Brett! Is this the first? Baby girls are sure sweet! Til they get older and start getting interested in those nasty little boys! LOL! Get her hooked on rocks ASAP and hopefully she will scorn the boys for ROCKS! ;D Congrats on the QT66 also. I must admit you are the first father I know that has left the hospital to run home and recharge the tumbler! llana

Congrats Scott on your new baby girl. Now go out and buy her a present for her 21st birthday. Go get her a newspaper and file it away until she's 21 and then give it to her for her birthday so she can see everything that was going on in the world the day she was born. I did that for my sons thinking their was no way I could keep track of those papers for what seemed at the time like an eternity. But I've given one out and have one to go. It was really cool looking at that old paper and remembering the day he was born. Perhaps print out a copy of this thread and put it in with the paper.
Congrats, Bob

Super congrats, Scott! So happy for you ;D If I had ever had a daughter, I planned on naming her Christine or Crystal. Now they say Crystal is a "red neck" name. I still think it's pretty, tho When you two do name her, please tell us her name. And let the sound of the tumbler lull her to sleep (for so many reasons!). cookie

yes, please, let us know what you decide on for a name, Cookie may not be wrong on the white noise issue, my parents said they had to take me out in the car to lull me to sleep when i was a collicky baby, may have been the carbon monoxide that did the trick, but who is to know......... may explain the brain damage, HAHA!
good luck, KD

Congrats Scott both on the new baby daughter and the tumbler. Know that life will never ever be the same again. Because of both the child and the tumbler! Welcome to the insanity of parenthood and rock tumbling!

Thanks all for your kind words. The baby and mom are doing great. Babies name is Leah Marian, Marian being my late mothers name. I couldn't get any bites on your name suggestions. QT66 is running great also.
