I was able to get the instructions completed bit now when I attempt to upload any jpeg it has an API error code. What am I missing now? Also sorry it's such a hassle for you. Can you private message me your Cloudinary Cloud Name and Preset name so I can take a look at it? These are from the two fields in your profile that get filled in. If you went the long route and created your own Cloudinary account they will look different from these:

As rockjunquie said all of the notifications are controlled in the Notifications tab when you are editing your profile. There are an extensive amount of scenarios that can generate a notification but I don't think there is a way to create a notification on every new thread created in a specific forum though. I will check on the Proboards side and see if that ability exists - maybe as a plugin that can be installed in the software.

I know there's a lot of gardeners here. Do any of you grow butterfly milkweed aka butterfly weed? I want some flowers that attract butterflies. Here in Virginia, they are great for that and native to most of the country AND perennial, which I like. I haven't been able to find images of them planted en masse. I want to plant them densely along my fence where they will get full sun. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asclepias_tuberosaThis is very interesting to me. I had no idea that the Monarchs were in trouble although I did seem to notice we don't see as many around anymore. I'm seriously thinking I want to plant a boatload of milkweed on our property near Mariposa ... which I just learned is spanish for butterflies Apparently the city was named as such due to the flocks of monarch butterflies seen wintering here by early explorers. Every year at the Mariposa fairgrounds they have the butterfly festival which seems to just be mostly a carnival type event. One of these years we'll visit the festival just to see what there is to it. I need to study this... Apparently we have our own California Milkweed which would probably be a good place to start. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asclepias_californicaTwelve Native Milkweeds for Monarchs blog.nwf.org/2015/02/twelve-native-milkweeds-for-monarchs/

Ah, sensible mothers... I drove mine mad. It's never too late for ants. Ant farms today are pretty impressive and I think the outworlds might be a cool way to display rocks Tommy. You need an ant farm! YOU can get one! Never too late!! Nope nope nope ... I have PLENTY of ants to deal with now thank you In addition to the common little black ants I've determined that we have at least three species of LARGE ants on the property and I'm starting to have nightmares of being overcome in my sleep I'm kidding but I'm not. I am thinking there's probably an extensive network of ant tunnels down there though - when I get one hole shut down they pop up about 25 feet away. Makes me want to be that guy on the internet that pours molten metal into one of their holes to create ant hole art I have identified some big-ass carpenter ants around the well shed but thankfully I've had most of the sheet rock off in the house and a lot of the siding and haven't seen any trace of them having been in there past or present. These were large and very red.

Just curious what you got Tommy 😎 That's a bit shinier than my 1976 Wheel Horse 😁 Ohhh yeah I was just being dense We should start a show us your tractor thread. I searched it and it looks like those horses were built to last forever! I'm not so certain about the Deere but I guess we'll see.

Fascinating! I always wanted one of those ant farms that we used to see advertised in the back pages of comic books but mom wasn't having it. I was able to talk her into an aquarium which kicked off a lifetime interest in tropical fish - I can only imagine how things would be today if she had just got me the dang ant farm

Tommy what about the tractor? Not sure what you mean Nate but I was just trying to be funny. Everything is changing these days and we went to buy a riding mower and found out now they are called lawn tractors

There's got to be a way to post more than one photo at a time! Are you using cloudinary? If so I think you can select multiple photos to add all at once. It's convoluted to add photos to this forum, that's for sure! She's using Flickr but yeah I don't disagree with you about the posting photos thing.

Hi, Is it possible to create a poll on this forum? I have a grit question for the members and it's an A or B answer. Thanks! Sorry for the slow response. It took me a bit of head scratching but I finally figured out why about half of the boards were allowing members to start polls and the other half weren't. Turns out it had to do with how the permissions were originally set for each board way back in the day. I've never noticed it because the permissions were set to 'staff only.' I've fixed a few of them including the Rock Tumbling board so it should work for you now. I'll get to the rest of them fixed later this week when I'm back at my computer.

I been a member for a while and I’m not sure why I can’t post on marketplace? Probably just splitting hairs here but what you can't do is create a new thread in the marketplace and as the others have said it has to do with your post count. Creating new threads in the Marketplace requires a post count of 100 community quality posts. The guidelines regarding selling on the forum are spelled out here: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/82393/marketplace-general-rules-updated-2022All that being said, from your intro post you seem like a credible person so shoot me a private message and let me know what you're looking to sell etc. Tommy

…And speaking of a traveling box. Cody Luminin where are you ? Still in Ohio! 😝 Busier than ever before, 2 (3?) new hobbies, just bought what will eventually be a house after I finish a complete renovation, nearing the end of my apprenticeship, college classes nearly complete as well. And yes, I still have rocks coming out of my ears, just with everything else they’re on hold. Pretty sure I have a box sitting around here somewhere that was supposed to go out, but that Covid interrupted… 🤔 CODY! Good to see you I'm also in the middle of a complete renovation so I feel ya on that one.

Updated 9/04/23 - please do not use the free shared account to upload videos, thanks! Updated again 3/15/2024 Switching to a new shared account. Going forward with these newly posted presets the 4 pixel wide border around uploaded photos will switch from light blue to light reddish. Previous (blue border) version of shared account is unaffected by this change so everyone using it should continue using it without switching to this new one. I had to add teeth to the "no videos" rule - I had to delete several videos that were uploaded on the shared account. Video's drive up the bandwidth usage and after a bit of time elapses it's nearly impossible to track down who posted them - so from now on I'm going to check the Cloudinary shared gallery regularly and delete videos as soon as I see them.

When I see that we are the only manufacturer engaging in social media and developing new equipment and helping new lapidarists to be successful then its no surprise to me that these other manufacturers are failing. John Rowland (CEO Highland Park) Welcome to the forum John! I've watched your blade alignment video so many times I feel like I know you

well I've already gotten everything mixed up!! I'd like it if some one could help me with uploading pics as I created the required cloud acct but I keep getting error codes about a preset not t detected! Hi and welcome from Napa. If you would email me a screen shot of your Cloudinary Upload Settings section of your profile that would be a good place to start. It's in your Profile here on the forum, in the Settings tab, and it looks like this: My email is: (redacted)
