Hello from Las Vegas. I haven't been to this shop www.jewelryandmineraloflv.com/ but I saw someone talking about it and by the looks of their website, it might be worth checking out when you in Vegas.

In case anyone is looking, I took QuailRiver suggestion and got put in contact with Ken from the yahoo site and ordered a belt today. Thanks for all the assistance.

lol, as soon as you said that I remembered tape decks having the same type of belt in it. Unfortunately I know of no shops that still fix tape decks (heck, most don't even know what one looks like)

Hopefully they will answer my email. Your idea is a great one, I may have to hunt down a sewing shop this weekend, it don't hurt to have more than one game plan, thanks

Here's my daughters cat (which she forgot to take with her when she moved out, lol). This cat is VERRRRRY lazy, she eats, sleeps at the foot of my bed, and only gets up to chase my pug off the bed, lol. And here's the traumatized pug (they are both the same size and weight) she picks on, lol

Hi everyone, long time no chatting, hope yall are doing well. I finally got my hands on an old faceting machine and am now looking at needing a part. It is an older (of course, lol) American Faceting Machine. I know how we all love pictures, so here's a few of it.....
And the part I need is the tension belt that sits between the faceting head and the pivot point by the mast area. The belt is ribbed and rides across two cogged wheels. Anyone know of where to find a suitable replacement. Here's a picture of the belt (I put little red arrows on it)
If anyone knows of any other parts or knobs or pieces someone has laying around, I will buy it for a fair price, thanks to all.

About 15 years ago my kids were making walking sticks out of some branches I had cut down from doing yard work. And of course they (boys 7,9,and 10)started arguing who stick was better, who's could also use theirs as a sword or weapon. So rather than dash their building enthusiasm with a lecture on how to get along, I snuck around the corner and whipped this puppy together and challenged them to make one bigger. lol, of course they couldn't (I used the biggest branch I had cut down). I just ran across this today in the garage and thought of yall and decided to share. Have a good weekend
