I'm off for the winter now Billy, time to knock the dust off. Your work is inspiring!
Thank you Nate, I'm about froze to death and ready to head south. Be hanging around the rest of the week. Looking forward to see if you and Ali get some time to create some groovy things.
I take it if you have the chuck for the hand piece. Don’t see it in the box. Is it a h30 hand piece that close like a drill? I have one with collets and hardly use it.
If I bought that many lakers I'd be eating my cat for Thanksgiving. I was looking to buy some recently for tumbling and they aren't getting any cheaper. All I found was very mediocre small tumble grade for about $12 a pound.
Yours look nicely rounded and shiny!
I think there is 5 gallon pails laying around, my son works for MNDOT and picks agates during his breaks. Brings home a handful or 2 a day. Surprising he even pops a few out of the asphalt. I put an order in for a few things at Kingsley North and ordered a few pounds of Lakers, wasn’t impressed and a waste of money. Now their carnelian was great.
Here is a few more pictures.did a few repairs also and made a couple more pendants. The one repair was a pendant I put a hidden bail on and couldn't adjust it so it hung right. I took apart a mother's ring and reset the stone for the daughters. Hunting diamond willow today and earring day tomorrow.
Did a trade with a lady to make a wand out of a piece of diamond willow for a groovy ring and pendant. I had the willow she had two cabs of pietersite. The one cab for the ring was a terrible cut cab for me. Straight sides with sloping ends. got the cab figured out and really think she will really be able to focus her energy with what I made, at least I am hoping. the secondary stones are a moonstone and black diamond
