Here is a piece of pastelite that has some banding on the out side. The banding did go all the way in like yours.

The Planet Mine near Bouse is close by, lot's of copper minerals.. It is in most the Az rock hounding books, a great place to spend a weekend looking around. Here are some coords to any area that is any walk in from the north side, lots of mines in this area, blue rock everywhere, or use to be. 34.2449321318366, -113.96957475788098

Yes! Too difficult and expensive to replace. Saws are getting hard to find at a good price.

AzRockGeek , what is it ? Is it a bird, a plane, a UFO, a meteor, a comet, or superman ?? Pretty cool. Patty Apparently it was a SpaceX rocket, bringing up 21 satellites.

Thanks AzRockGeek and these look exactly like the sandstons my mom was looking for. I am wondering how big they are and if they could fit in a 12lb barrel for step 1 tumbling so that they could be rounded up nicely. They are mostly fist size, can easily be broken down with a hammer or tile saw.

Absolutely beautiful!!! Don't see a lot of that anymore. I have a few pieces put away for a rainy day. How stable is it? I threw this stuff in with some other things I was getting professionally stabilized, so it very stable. Here is a pic of all the Bagdad I had stabilized, 27 pounds.

Nice stuff, when you say Baghdad does that mean from the pit east of Wikieup? I went to the Rawley mine down by Gila Bend weekend before last, got a bit of that AZ blue, have to show it off after I get more cut. Yes. This is from the Bagdad mine, probably mined in 70's.

Thanks all. It is mainly Chrysocolla with Malachite, Azurite, Tenorite, Shattuckite, Silica and other various copper minerals. I am loving the variation in this!

About a quarter mile before you hit the creek, you will see some white bentonite flows on the right side of the road. If you do some digging near the top or search the area, you should find some nice agates.
