Well, I waited to call them until it might not be too busy and I got straight through to PP. The lady spoke good enough English. She found in my record where no money changed hands. BUT, they can't do anything about it. The solution was for me to have my tax professional contact them. We're talking about 601 dollars. Seeing a tax pro would cost more than the taxes I would have to pay. So, guess who is going to hand the Government money for NOTHING?? I'm so pissed. Take a look at this link. It appears to have info in the article about what to do if the 1099K is incorrect. Hope this is helpful. www.paypal.com/us/cshelp/article/help546

Hi all. I’m new here. I recently purchased a used MK 101 tile saw to use as a trim saw. I have a MK 301 lapidary blade. Should I use oil. It’s non toxic food grade oil I use in my slab saw. Or should I ask will the water pump be ok with oil. thanks in advance for advice. D Interesting question, and I'm not sure I have an answer for you. 10" seems to be the upper limit for using water, but if you have a pump for your coolant supply, I don't know how things will go. Oil is certainly a better lubricant, so I'd give that a shot, perhaps. Maybe see if your pump will handle the oil and go from there? I'm just spit-balling. As an aside, I love the photo in your avatar, though I can't read the text. I'm not sure that's too important, as the photo is great. Maybe someone with the same saw will jump in with their experience.

jamesp, thanks for your explanation. I wasn't going to make you read a long quote, so here I am...again. Interesting use of "fell out" in comparison to how it was used here. "Done fell out," or "fell out," was used in the medical setting to describe that someone had fainted or passed out. It was used so much here in parts of Los Angeles (mainly black neighborhoods), that it became a common term for us first responders.

from Southern CA. obsessionalrockhound . I am going to make a request and ask that you change your font color back to white. Members here can use a blue background which would keep your posts from being visible to many. Thanks.ETA: Since you haven't been on for a few hours, I made the change to the font color. I didn't change any content. In the future, you're probably just better off by going with the default color. There are multiple background colors for member use which might cause an issue with anything other than the default font color.

Most are from hand blown vases and the local glass blower's shards. Plier type glass nippers were used to chip perimeter shape. Rotary shaped and finished in a modified vibe. Thick sugar 'syrup' used in vibe steps. Thanks for looking. That's great looking stuff James. Is that leftover glass when you first started working on it, or are you still going out and searching for it? I seem to recall you've gone through a fair amount of it making slabs and stuff like in this thread. What do you do with it, other than supplying knappers with some slabs? I used to FALL OUT laughing until Dad gave me a you-will-pay look. Well, now you have me cracking up by seeing that term being used. Is that actually a southern colloquialism? The reason I ask is that it was constantly used in the predominantly black South Los Angeles, where there were significant numbers of folks whose families relocated to Los Angeles (among other places) during the great migration following WWII. It's use was so prevalent, I've picked it up and still use it every now and then. If you didn't know I worked many FD assignments down there, so I had a lot of time to be exposed to the term, especially while I was working as a paramedic there. "Done fell out" or "fell out" what what we heard from the citizens. On the Department, we just shortened it to "DFO'd" to describe when it happened to someone. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Welcome to the Forum. Is there any reason why you are posting with two different accounts? Maybe it was a sign up issue, but I would heartily recommend that you pick one and use that. Maybe just use the one you started this thread with and go from there. Since it's been so long since I last had to look, I'll have to look if there is any rule or restriction about one user using two accounts to post. Most forums usually have that restriction. I'm not sure that's laid out here.

Hey everyone. Getting ready to start my first tumble. I took a hammer to some larger jasper boulders that I have collected over the last year. So, out of curiosity, is this from Stoney Creek or Clear Creek. I don't want you spot...just asking in general.

I need to cutout some Lid Liners for my Model B tumblers. Any idea what a good material to use is? I know it's been mentioned out here, just cannot remember and search does not seem to work for me. Thanks Henry Henry, I found a bunch of threads where inner tubes were used to repair barrels or liners. Maybe one of these will help. www.google.com/search?q=inner+tubes&sitesearch=forum.rocktumblinghobby.com

This is just a friendly reminder for all. When you're discussing your hounding locations in the public forum, the average Joe doing a Google search might come across a post with specific location information. That might not be just one searcher, but thousands. If you're going to share a specific location and details of, say, how to get there, please try to keep it to PMs. That will help protect your special spots. This is not intended to preclude sharing of information; it's just a reminder that many of our posts can be accessed with a simple internet search. Is there a reason this subforum is in the publicly viewable area? Yes. It encompasses different events/trips/etc. which would not be an issue if shared publicly, and this is the way things were set up...long before I got here. Folks are generally pretty good about keeping location details to PMs, but I'll tend to throw out a reminder every now and then since we always have an influx of new members. It's really not that big of a deal, but this was one of the caveats that a long time member once shared with me when I got here. I like passing that information along, as we're not operating in our own little bubble.

Thought of you the other day Ali. That's funny...I did, too (yesterday), but for a different reason. Having just bought a bore scope (camera) on a telescoping pole, we checked one of our owl boxes that is on my wife's family property. After non-use for years (another box seemed to be a favorite), there are now 5 barn owlets ranging from about 20ish to 40 days old, based upon their appearance. MsAli was a big fan when I posted previous years' vids, so I immediately thought of her when we confirmed the box had owlets. I'll start a thread about that sometime down the road.
