Hi all! Just got my first rock tumbler (Lortone 3A from rockshed) last week and started my first rock tumbling batch and was really excited! The first time I heard of rock tumbling was when an ad of a nat geo tumbler was sent to me, and I was immediately intrigued. Reminded me of my childhood many many years ago, when my mom and I looked for Yuhua Stones ('rain flower stone') in cold winters in Nanjing, China (we rarely found any decent ones by ourselves). Then I did some of my own researches on Google and YouTube. I watched a lot of great videos from "Michigan Rocks" who brought me to this forum. I made some purchases from rockshed and Kingsley North. I also started to search for interesting rocks in the creek beds close to my home, which I would say is a healthier activity than sitting in front of my computer The journey rebooted!

Thanks all! Tommy I am from the San Jose area. Awesome! I lived and worked down there for about 25 years before ending up here in Napa. Pat is a member of a great rock club down there. Once a year they put on one of the better rock shows that I've been to - they hold it at the Santa Clara Co. Fairgrounds.

Welcome, Pebblesky, from central Washington. Not a lot to see here, but lots of great rocks! Come on up for a visit.
