8:15 and it is 100 degrees. The high today was 115. Power is out. Third outage in the last two days; not rolling outages. The last two years there have been a lot of fire prevention outages. I have 3 battery power stations and a lot of battery powered lanterns. I thought I could hook up my router to one of them so I have internet. Tomorrow is suppose to be 104 and not cooling off until Sunday. I'm hoping for sooner. When it gets really hot it can produce the fog to come in and really cool things off.

Stephen
I'm really sorry to hear about your heat wave! We heard it was really HOT down there this week. I remember last year when it hit 115F in our area. It was rough for sure. Lately I've been seeing a lot of online ads for small residential portable generators. Some of them are a chunk of change, but if they will keep your wifi, refrigerator and fans/air conditioner going, it could be worth looking in to. With the west heating up like it's been lately, I'm certainly thinking about it. Here's an article from Consumer Reports about the Best Generator Buying Guide that you might find interesting. I think the ones that can regenerate power from the sun would be worth checking in to as well, as it seems you have plenty of sun out there! Don't forget to take cool showers and even soak your feet in a cool pool of water if need be. Take care, markb p.s. if it's any consolation, it's only 93F down there now!

115. Going out and fixing other peoples air conditioners. I go to work on a roof and in a hot house, an attic if I'm really lucky, and just as soon as it starts working and providing a little relief, I leave and go find somewhere else really hot! I'm getting to old for this crap!
