StarguyThats what I told them, that you guys are still alive and if they killed us all where would they get their money from. It would be bad business. Poor Jason.

Thanks Ashley...at least someone feels badly for my lack of Tootsie Rolls! LOL - Although Brent ( Starguy) has a point...don't feel TOO badly...I do get to paw through their bins pretty much whenever the mood strikes me to make the short drive.

Yes, you are VERY luck in that regard! (maybe not your wallet though!) You are absolutely correct with BOTH of those statements! LOL - It doesn't matter if I've been there within the past week...I can ALWAYS find a rock there that needs a new home! LOL

200 lbs of slabs! Wow Nicholas perkins17 . That’s going to be awesome. I hope you get a lot of good ones. Did you know you can cut a lot of slabs with a glass cutter? It’s fast. I cut a lot of slabs with the glass cutter into geometric shapes. Then the shapes go in the tumbler. I’m heading to Spokane tomorrow. I’ll stop by Irv’s to try and sell some stuff. I can't wait! I didn't know that, but there's another reason for me to get one. I haven't tried the cut-shapes-and-tumble route yet because I had so few slabs before so maybe I'll have a chance to now. -Nicholas

perkins17Man Nicholas!! That’s awesome! You’ve been shown quite the favor! like Tela said, we will be looking forward to seeing some! It is SO awesome!!! I'm not gonna make it to Tuesday. I'll be sure to post them, but I'm going to be busy this week so feel free to remind me if I forget. (I also am not sick anymore which is an added bonus.)

perkins17 . Here’s the cutter I use. I see them on eBay occasionally. A regular glass cutter works too. None of them work on fibrous slabs like tiger eye. You need to be careful on crazy lace too. Crazy lace slabs want to break along the fortification lines. I can even score some slight curves and get good quality agate to break on the curve.

I WISH it was tootsie rolls I got when I went to the shed with papa. All I got was a swift paddling on the backside. Never went to the shed again.
On another note, I wish I was tumbling already when we spent 6 months in Rosebud, I would have totally been at that shed a lot. Only been to the UP once since I started tumbling and Kingsley North was closed 😪. Im only 45 mins from "the rock shop" and never been there either. 🙄

Many people should have went out to the wood shed! Would be a different world if they did! Thats a bummer!

So heres the loot. The large ceramic is huge! Don’t worry, the large ceramics will reduce in size the more you use it. Don’t forget to put it in an initial tumble for a short while, just to knock off the edges. in a few months, it will be your small ceramics.
