That's a wet shine ! I see you used only a 1/2 a teaspoon of polish for a Lot-O load. The Lot-O holds like 3.5 or 4 pounds ? The only reason I bring this up is because I only use 1 tablespoon(or 3 teaspoons) of polish on an 8 pound load in my vibe which translates to 1.5 teaspoons for a 4 pound load. If math is correct you got by with 1/3 the polish and still got an awesome polish. The other reason I bring this up is because it seemed the smaller doses of polish gave me faster and in some cases better polishes. markb asked me about the smaller amount of polish I use. Next run I will cut back to 1 teaspoon for 8 pounds. The 40 year old instructions of the Vibrasonic says to use 1 tablespoon of polish per pound of load ! That would be 4 tablespoons for 4 pounds or 12 teaspoons per 4 pounds ! Maybe they were using the polish for a thickener ?

Maybe it’s my thriftiness but I want to use as less as possible. I have always used 1/2 tsp of polish. But have recently cut down from 2 TBS of 120/220 to 1 TSP. Which is crazy to most but it works great for me and that’s what I did on the Quartz crystals as well. Let me know what your observations are of less polish.

Ha, I just never was brave enough to try any less than 1 tablespoon per 8 pounds. Now I got to brave 1 teaspoon per 8 pounds ! I only use AO 1000, AO 500 and AO polish from Rock Shed. The Rock Shed sells quality AO abrasives. It makes sense that less AO is needed since it is less about breaking into smaller pieces than silicon carbide(SiC is brittle and cracks sharp to deliver sharp cutting abrasive behavior). It may be that the AO 500 and AO 1000 could deliver the same outcome if it's doses were lowered.
