That is a pretty cool rock, how long did you run it for?

That is a pretty cool rock, how long did you run it for? Thanks! That yellow vein is really interesting. There are some clear sections (quartz) in that vein as well, which provide a bit of a translucent window into the rock, which I love. I ran it (with a lot of mixed size ceramics) at stage 1 for 2 weeks (recharging the grit at the half way point), then 1 week each at stages 2-4. I was concerned about it taking a polish, since there were still some fractures on there and I thought maybe a chip of stone would come off and it would cloud up the surface of the rock, but that didn't happen...

It is full of personality. I totally agree with you it doesn't have to be tumble perfect.

It is full of personality. I totally agree with you it doesn't have to be tumble perfect. Thanks! I do like when they retain some of their 'personality' after tumbling. But that being said, when I get a rock that is 'perfectly tumbled' I get really excited. What you going to do?

I don't think there's a tumbler out there who gets perfect rocks every time out of every batch...so it's cool when a "black sheep" gets some of the spotlight!
